The Devil’s Stinger V2 Pepper is a relatively new variety that hails (we believe) from Brazil.
It’s a cross between Red Dream x Bhut Jolokia Black and showcases a remarkable fusion of traits from two legendary varieties. The original Devil’s Stinger pods are black and turn red with black mottling along with prominent stingers.
Our pods on the V2 pheno started green and purple/black and ripened to red with dark shades. Some of the pods had varying degrees of a Devil’s Stinger and others looked more like a bhut. The leaves on ours had some purple with darkish stems.
Please note, this variety is still unstable. It’s still a cool, lower end on the SHU scale, superhot variety.
We plan to grow it again to see what happens next.

Growing and Variety Information
Start the seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before your last frost date. When transplanting outdoors, ensure transplants are given plenty of sunlight and warm temperatures.
