Shipping Packaging & Fees

We are committed to ensuring our products arrive safely and timely while keeping shipping costs as low as possible for our customers.

For seed orders, we use bubble mailers to protect seeds and ship via the USPS. Each seed order will include tracking through the selected carrier.

With garden tools and supplies, we use larger bubble mailers, if applicable, or boxes depending on the items and the level of protection needed.  The carrier for these products is selected based on the size, weight, and destination of the package, and we will use either the USPS, FedEx, DHL, or UPS. Each tool order will include tracking and insurance through the selected carrier.

The shipping fee on seeds is $5.99 for US orders under $40, and on US orders over $40 the shipping is free. The total of the seed items alone must be over $40 to receive free shipping.

Garden tools and supplies do not have free shipping, and the shipping fee is based on size, weight, and destination. The reflected shipping cost will be calculated at checkout.

Tracking

Every order within the US will include tracking, and the tracking number for your order will be sent to you via email once your shipping label has been printed.

Shipment Issues

Damage: If your package arrives damaged from the carrier, please take a picture immediately of the unopened package. Then open the package to inspect if the contents were damaged. If any of the contents were damaged, please take additional pictures of the damaged items and email us those at support@rebecvalleyfarm. We'll work together to resolve the issue.

The buyer must let us know within 10 days of delivery whether their item was damaged.

If the buyer doesn't let us know within 10 days along with emailing us photos of the damaged packaging and contents, we will not offer a refund, return, or exchange on damaged goods. It will be the buyer's responsibility to file any damage claim with the selected carrier after 10 days.

Domestic Shipment Delivery Times

Shipping times with the USPS vary widely depending on your location and the time of year.

While packages generally arrive within 5-10 days, we kindly ask for patience and wait 14-21 days before contacting us. We can only see the same tracking information that you can see. Often it is easier to ask your local post office to put a trace if you're concerned before 21 days have passed.

International Shipping

We will ship internationally. We ship seeds using a holiday card with bubble protection inside to protect the individual seed packages.

It is the buyer's responsibility to know whether or not seeds can be sent from the US to your country.

We suggest you check first on whether or not a Phytosanitary Certificate is required for your country before placing an order. It's the buyer's responsibility to learn whether or not seeds can be sent to their country. In addition, we don't offer refunds for lost, stolen, damaged, or confiscated seeds to foreign countries.

We do not offer tracking or insurance on international orders, and the cost to ship internationally is $6 US dollars per order. There is no free shipping on international orders. Each envelope is sent using an internation (global) stamp.

Again, all international seed sales are final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges. We are not responsible for customs confiscations or lost or damaged packages. All import duties or additional taxes are the buyer's responsibility.

That said, we'd recommend splitting orders or making an initial small test order to see whether or not it is received before placing a large order that might get confiscated or go missing.

We also provide each international customer with a photo of their packaged contents along with the shipping label attached.

Generally, it can take anywhere from 2-12 weeks for international orders to arrive.

Tracking Statuses (USA Only)

The USPS isn't as reliable and efficient as it used to be, and more often than not now packages are arriving at their destinations 8-20 days after they have left our facility.

We ask for patience on deliveries.

Below are some of the tracking statuses and what they mean.

Unchanged Package Location: Often packages arrive at regional distribution centers and show no tracking movement until the packages are processed or scanned. Packages sometimes sit in warehouses for several days until they start moving again.

In Transit, Arriving Late: Similarly to the unchanged tracking location for several days, the In Transit, Arriving Late status is the same thing. It's awaiting processing and scanning before a status will change.

Important Note: We will not refund or resend seeds while the package is still in transit. If 21 days have passed without movement or a status change, please let us know. We'll contact the carrier to see if they can mark the package as lost, and then we can proceed with a refund or resend, depending on your preference.

Package Marked Delivered and Not Found: Sometimes the USPS marks a package as delivered and it wasn't. Generally, the package does arrive within 1-2 business days. We ask that you give it 2 full mail delivery days after your package was marked delivered before you contact us. If you're concerned before 2 full mail delivery days have passed, we'd recommend talking with your local post office first to see if they can track it down.

Package Marked Lost/Missing: If the USPS changes the status of your package to lost or missing, please contact us, and we'll resolve the issue.

Wrong Address Entered by Buyer: Unfortunately, if the buyer enters the wrong address there isn't anything that we can do to change it while it's in transit. If you provided the wrong address, you're encouraged to contact your local post office to see if they can put a trace on the package and have the address corrected, or the post office might be able to have it returned to your post office and held for pick up. Please be advised that we don't refund or resend another package free of charge due to an incorrect address provided by the buyer.

If the package is returned to sender (us) due to the wrong address provided by the customer, you'll be charged for the reshipment to the correct address, regardless if the original order qualified for free shipping or not.
