About Us

Our Mission

At Rebec Valley Farm, our mission is to provide home gardeners with top-quality, rare and exotic pepper, tomato, and vegetable seeds at a great price—along with select tools and garden supplies—to help each gardener achieve a more bountiful harvest.

Quality Assurance

We pride ourselves in only offering hand-selected, premium seeds and garden supplies. If the product isn't exceptional in quality, we don't offer it, period.

Our Company

Rebec Valley Farm LLC is located in West Central, Georgia. We're a small, family-run operation specializing in rare and exotic pepper and tomato seeds.

Unfortunately, at this time, we don't have the staff or the facilities to offer tours or pepper and tomato tastings.

Thank you for visiting our online store. We look forward to helping you add rare and exotic varieties to your garden.

Our Growing Practices

On our farm, we believe in growing our plants naturally, without harsh chemicals, to avoid poisons from entering our food, our soil and water, our bloodstreams.

We are committed to this approach to ensure that we provide the highest quality and safest seeds possible to our customers.

We are a non-GMO farm and don't grow any GMO plants.

We specialize in heirloom and hybrid (intentionally cross-created pepper and tomato) varieties. With our non-heirloom seed products, if the seed variety doesn't state heirloom in the product description, it's best to assume it's a hybrid.

At this time, all of our peppers and tomatoes are grown in an open-pollinated environment unless otherwise specified in the individual item description, so there's a chance of accidental cross-pollination. As a result, we cannot guarantee 100% purity on any of our varieties.

Please be advised some pepper and tomato varieties that we offer have uncertain filial generations, so please read each product description carefully to learn whether or not the desired variety could still be unstable.

Our Seed Viability

In accordance with the Federal Seed Act (FSA) of 1939, we test all of our salable seeds to obtain germination percentages. While the average vegetable seed germination rate must be at least 75% (each vegetable has a different minimum germination standard), our seeds are generally much higher than the FSA's minimum percentage for each vegetable type. For example, the acceptable minimum germination rate according to the USDA for peppers is 55% and tomatoes is 75%.

Under the law 7 CFR § 201.3, the USDA's basic minimum germination standards for interstate commerce can be found here.

If a variety that we grow doesn't exceed the minimum viability standard as required by law, we remove the particular seed lot from our inventory and destroy the inferior seeds.

Please note germination rates are affected by several different environmental conditions (e.g., soil, heat, and moisture). It's highly advisable to learn the best seed germination practices for each vegetable you plan to grow before sowing to avoid lower germination rates or even failure.

Our Team, Our History

Rebec Valley Farm LLC is a small, family-run business established in 2024 in rural Georgia, USA.

While our online business might be new, our passion for gardening and helping others with their garden goes back decades—and we look forward to helping and being a part of your garden, too.

Brief Summary of Farm Facts

We only use organic products and pest control techniques. However, we are not a USDA Certified Organic Farm.

We have never grown any GMO plants and refuse to grow or offer any in the future.

All of our salable seeds come from plants grown on our farm. Every seed that we offer is hand-selected, and every variety is viability tested for quality assurance.

All of our pepper and tomato plants are grown in an open-pollinated environment unless otherwise specified in the item's product description.

Since everything we grow is open-pollinated, there is a chance of accidental cross-pollination; we cannot guarantee 100% purity on any of our varieties.

Some pepper varieties that we offer have uncertain filial generations, so please read each product description carefully to learn whether or not the desired variety could still be unstable.
